Pampers glitch at Boots

Surely Fraud. You are knowingly taking advantage of an error..
I had this conversation with a law student friend of mine and apparently its "invitation to treat" or something. When you get to the till and it flashes up 99p for an item (even though the shelf said £40), you are offering them the 99p. The fact the cashier takes it from you and puts it in the till is them accepting. You have done nothing wrong, as they have told you the price to offer them (99p). So it is legally fine, but MORALLY is where you might have a problem.
But do you think they are thinking about morals when they pay a child in some far-flung country 10p for a bath set they then sell to you for £15? I think not.
...and we feel happy with our £15 bath set because we got loyalty points (oooh 4p back per £1) or it was on B2G1F.0 -
Pampers are changing the size of all there packs, most only by losing 1 or 2 nappies depending on what the original pack size is....I assume this is why they are so cheap...
I got boxes of active fit size 4 for £3.25 before...:j
Just lucky if you can find some left!0 -
i work for boot and they are always reducing various nappies to try and clear shelves for different stock so i wouldn't have thought it was a glitch. Great find op
If you had any idea how much money these companies rake in you wouldn't feel quite so bad about taking advantages of the glitches/offers - i know i don't lose any sleep over it!0 -
there is new style packaging that also contains 2 less nappies than before (also has a different barcode to the new pack design) so could be that the old pack designs are cheaper as they are trying to phase them out. Work in one of the supermarkets and we've had the new packs in, quite annoying really every few months a nappy or 2 seems to disapear out of the pack.0

74 packs are the old style packs, the new packs are 70 nappies, but got some price checked and they were full price at £12.990

How this is fraud I don't know!! At the till the boxes were scanned, I was asked to pay the price the till gave, so I did!!!
I then bought 3 boxes of size 5 nappies too (which I won't need for a few months!) on the 3 for 2 deal, purely because
I'd saved so much on the size 4+ bargains, so Boots got an extra £26 from me. Everyone is happy!!
As previous posters have said, the reduced price could be because they were the boxes with 74 nappies in rather than the
new 70 nappy boxes! It just makes it even more of a bargain though!!
Good luck to anyone looking for them, hope you can 'grab a bargain' too!0 -
Hi,
Im in Bristol, I picked up 3 boxes of 5+ which scanned in at 3.25 each (and then 3 for 2 offer!), The sales assistant and myself looked completely shocked at the price, so she called the Manager over who informed me that if that is the price it is scanning in at then that is the price I pay!
If they still havent amended the price then I would say it must be because of old packaging. Bargain at 6.50 for 3 boxes! so so chuffed, wish I would have tried my luck at the lottery that day0 -
Hilarious
I will be going into town today to have a look however my boots NEVER has any of these deals/glitches/bargains so not holding my breath.
I suppose when something is scanned at a till and you are asked to pay for it you can say no, just as they can refuse to sell, it is only when you both agree and close the sale/exchange the money that you have completed the contract so to speak.0 -
Thankyou Op what a bargain !! Does anyone know how many nappies are in the size 5 box and 5+ atall?September wins - Quizonaut - Stress-out CD , Keno.com $43.500
