Where can I get a Combined Family Legal Care Policy from now?

I've just been told that my Combined Family Legal Care Policy through Composite-Legal is going to lapse because they are no longer offering it to members of the public, only through brokers. Unfortunately, they wouldn't give me the names of any brokers that may offer it because they said it would be showing preference to that broker. The policy cost me £15 a year. Does anyone know of anyone else that offers this cover. Unfortunately, I've just renewed my car insurance, OH's car insurance and Home Insurance (all different companies) without the legal cover on it because I didn't know at the time that I wasn't going to be able to renew my policy.

cancel your home insurance and set it back up again? Or ask them to add it to the policy.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I can't canel the insurance because I'd be charged a cancellation fee. If I added it to one of the two car insurance policies or home insurance that we have (all with different companies) would the legal cover be applicable to both cars and home?0 -
The usual plan from that company covers both home and motor, check if the ones added to policies cover both.
Did not realise Composite ever sold direct... its usually sold by GI/ Personal Lines brokers as an add on to policies- effective if doing volume, and making acommision on the main policy, but at £15 for a standalone its hard to justify the admin involved.
This type of policy comes with exclusions/ terms - But a lot of people/ families buy this on 2-4 different policies at £20-£30 each, but as mentioned on the other thread at say £15 standalone it might still be seen as worthwhile.
Unless your home/ motor broker offers an all in one you need to find a broker with an agency that is willing to arrange standalone.Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Well, try as hard as I can, I can't find anyone who is prepared to sell this as a standalone policy. I've spoken to my car insurance company and OH's car insurance, and they say that the cover is only for the car that's insured, so that would mean having to have it added to both car policies and home policy as well, which would work out around £75 a year. Is it worth doing this?0
