Which is the best forum provider. Bearing in mine i want the best security available, and preferably with features like thanks, reputation and the likes.

I don't want to pay for it. I have one forum, it is ok, im wondering if their are better about

Run your own PHPBB Forum Boards are usually quite fun. Download all the files.. configure yourself, upload to your own webspace and manage/update yourself (make sure to regularly update for security!)

If you dont have webspace your going to have a hard time finding a forum provider..

I have been warned that phpbb have alot of adverts

they use phpbb.

Most free forums won't allow you to change, or modify the database to mod it. Phpbb doesn't have 'thanks' so you may need to get a mod which will allow you to, but you won't be able to because, firstly i stated above.And secondly, i don't belive there is a mod for it.

no, phpbb has as many, or little, adverts as you like. It's whoever hosts the forum puts the ads on.:beer:
