Garage side door

Hi, This is my first post here. I always find this place genuine with honest opinion.
In my new house the garage does not have any back/side door. Only main shutter. I want to know how much it will cost to dig a hole at the side of garage and put a normal door. I am going to open yellow pages now to search local builders for quotes for this work.
I want to have a rough idea before I can get someone do the job...
Any suggestions / advise?

its a detached garage with one wall by the patio which is where i want access into it...0
