Praise - Three (I know!!!)

Options
I can't quite believe it either but yes, the mobile operator Three has actually earned a little bit of praise off me.

This morning, both mobiles (partner's and mine) lost the signal. After a couple more hours, I called Three on landline (thanks to SayNoTo0870 for the freephone number) and was told there was planned maintenance that would last a couple of days but could be sooner.

Faster than you can say "I'd like a pro-rata rebate for those days please", the operator credited both phones with a fiver each! And I didn't even have to ask for it. He also promised to call back in a couple of days to make sure all is OK.

As it happens, the "planned maintenance" suggested lasted only an hour more and both phones are happily receiving calls.

That, 3, is how to keep customers happy. Well, one anyway.

I lost signal at work once (despite being less than 20m from the mast) so I tweeted them. They replied really quickly saying that there was a problem with the mast that they were fixing asap. They got in touch a few hours later asking if it my signal was back yet which it was, I was impressed.

Another time I had to contact them I got an automated call back a few days later checking that the staff member was alright and that my problem had been resolved. They certainly have improved from the first time I was with them quite a few years ago.
  • They did get back to me - I'm now waiting for my next bill to check the refund!
