I think you're missing the point a bit. You need to ask when the successful candidate will be contacted; if it's not you, then you can ask for feedback.
Secondly, employers will let the successful candidate know when they say they will - if you're not contacted by that point then you know - by default - you've bee unsuccesful.

When I say feedback I mean whether I got the job and at interviews I say when will you let me if I am successful not feedback.

I do understand if the employer does not contract you when they say that they will then you have not got the job. The interview that I had last week I am aware that I did not get the job.

I will call them tomorrow because they did not say that they were interviewing other people for the post.

I'd say no harm in contacting them tomorrow asking for any update. They could well be interviewing other candidates but if its Monday start than they would inform the sucessful candidate sooner rather than later.

    Wish you all the best!

PS:In case you dont get through dont despair take this as a experience, learn from it and do better in your next interview.

I had another interview and trial last week the employer told me that they would let me know by end of last week and I am still waiting for them to contact me so nothing is 100%. The employer will do what they want and will contact you if they feel like it.

I've been mucked around like that before and actually been offered the job.

It's maybe worth emailing the hiring manager and asking politely for some feedback.
  • Hi guys

I am going to call the employer in a couple of hours to find out whether I got the job and will update later.

    Update

I phone the company the manager was not there and spoke to a girl who told me to email next week. The manager contact number was on my interview confirmation email so called him directly. The manager said that he was not in the office but he would get back to me with feedback.

The manager said feedback not whether I am successful so it is not looking good for me. I have another job interview with a different company and I will just focus on that instead.

    Update 2

The manager just called me and I got the job to start on Monday and I will still go to the second interview tomorrow just in case because that one also starts on Monday if successful and pays more.

I will just chose the best one.

Congratualtions! well done and wish you all the best with your 2nd interview.
  • Wow, that's brilliant, and to have a chance at another, better paying role is amazing! Either way, a celebration this weekend.

My job is going okay but the pay is very low however I have now been offered a another job that I interviewed for a couple of months that pays nearly double my current salary. This has come at very good time because there are some issues in my current job.
