School holiday dates

Been looking at booking a holiday in France but wanted to ensure that I missed all the usual school holidays - cheaper and less crowds :T
There are a few websites with this kind of information but I also found an iPhone app for European school holidays that I thought may be of interest to others looking to do the same - as a new user I am not allowed to post links (understandable) so you will need to go onto iTunes and do a search for 1almanac

Why would you pay for this information when it is clearly available on the Internet? Also it may be useful for national bank holidays, but often other holidays and terms slightly differ for schools.
In the UK half terms are different, Easter holidays are different etc.

Not very moneysaving!
