Vent: Tesco Clothing

Options
I have a minor vent!

I got home after work yesterday and found a missed delivery slip with the words "behind brown bin" had been posted through my letterbox.

I was a bit confused because I hadn't ordered anything. I found the parcel and it was from Tesco's Clothing! I opened the parcel and I found it contained a delivery slip for someone else who lived in Felixstowe. I was gutted that it wasn't my Glee goodie bag :(.

I live in the Midlands which is definitely not Felixstowe lol. I phoned Tesco Clothing and it was all sorted etc. It was such a kerfuffle!

Now I have to go to the post office on MY day off to rectify their mistake.

Am I still able to write to the head office to complain about this situation that I have to deal with because their warehouse staff can't label parcels correctly? Or is it all sorted because I have phoned and let them know?

  • Why exactly do you need to go to the post office?

I have to post the parcel back because I didn't order it. They didn't even offer a collection on the phone.

I would've told them you were leaving it behind your bin for them to collect at their leisure.

  • Hi. You do not have to post it back yourself. You could contact them again and advise them that you are happy for them to have the goods back but it is up to them to collect them.

I would have done if I am used to dealing with stuff like this. It's just infuriating!

My cats got into the bag whilst I was on the phone so there's an extra present of cat hair for the warehouse :rotfl:

I think I will do that. It is a big parcel and I have better things to do than sort out their mistakes.
