help with E- buddy(?) web messenger please

Hi,

i was on msn last night, and one of my contacts popped up on e-buddy (i think) web messenger.

Trouble was i couldnt see what either he or i had written.

it told me to download flash (thought i already had it ??)

but on IE the site said i had successfully downloaded but no sign of it, tried in mozilla, got the install flash player icon, but it gets as far as the language option - seems to download, then nothing.

Any ideas what else i can do?

Or how can i check if it actually has downloaded flash ( i was already using some flash sites i thought)

you don't get any desktop icons when you install flash player its hidden.
