I was lucky enough to win some Selfridges vouchers recently and after treating myself I had enough left to get a much longed for Le Creuset cast iron casserole dish and large lasagne dish. I wondered if any MSE'rs have any tried and tested recipes that I can try - I adore cooking and can't wait to use the casserole dish in particular - I have already used the other dish to make cottage pie and bread and butter pudding and can't believe how wonderfully it cleans up. so any recipes would be much appreciated. Thanks

I love using my le creuset for things that need cooking on the hob and then in the oven - feels great to not create more washing up than is necessary by doing it all in one pot.
This includes: coq au vin (Delia), beouf bourgignon (again, Delia), sausage and bean chilli (in my previous posts). I find it's also great for risotto, for some reason!0 -
I use le creuset for anything and everything I cook.
Agree with caitybabes it great to be able to put them in the oven after being on the hob first.0 -
If you want something dead easy and scrum with which to christen your Le Creuset, may I offer my Chinese Chicken recipe? (You may have to scroll down the page)
I only had Le Creuset stuff up until recently when I stupidly broke both my arms. I now can't lift the frying pans/saucepans so have replaced those with stainless steel, but I have two trusty casserole dishes which never let me down.
If your casserole is not too small you can also use it for making wonderful no-knead artisan bread - this is pretty scrummy stuff.0 -
Thank you all so much for your replies - I am off to look at the recipes and make a shopping list ready for my Monthly shop today - thank youFibro-Warrior0

when i bought my pans I was told I'd have to get used to cooking with them again... but I took to it quickly. it's not so much of a hassle with a casserole lol.0
