castor cups

  • We have anti-scratch felt pads on the feet of our washing machine and fridge. Slides very well across the laminate, lets me pull them out to clean the floor with ease and does not leave any marks on the floor.

Thanks-I was thinking of just felt pads, but thought the cups would be more secure. Are they self adhesive? and do they not pucker?

Cups might just make the beastie too tall if its an under worktop one.

Its going to be in a cupboard housing (open front, but the cupboard above with larder drawers) rather than actually undercounter. although the DW and freezer will be undercounter.
So can I stick felt bits to the feet to make it easier if the cups would be too tall?
  • There surely must be a washing machine that come with lockable wheels? I've ripped my floor pulling the damn thing out to clean under it and also did my back in. Come on manufacturers so something about it!!!

They are self-adhesive, mine fit perfectly on the feet and even if they didn't you could cut them down. They do not pucker. The only problem I came across was when they got wet and stayed wet (my washing machine decided to spit lubricant out the back!!), though I would not imagine you are intending to have standing water on a wooden floor!

We used to have those in the past. However, you had to be very careful with your fingers as the locking bit snapped really quickly and really hard. In fact, I wonder whether that's why they appear to have stopped making them - probably too many claims for broken or damaged fingers!

As long as you were careful, they were certainly much easier to move, though.
