Best place to buy boxes for packing up belongings?

When I last moved house we moved ourselves and those were the days when you could go and get loads of empty boxes from the local supermarket! Lots of my belongings are already in plastic storage boxes but I'm going to need some cardboard ones too.
Do boxes normally come in the price if you employ a removal firm? If so, do they put a limit on how many you'll get and would they refuse to move stuff in plastic boxes unless they are covered with a lid?
If not, or if we end up moving ourselves again, what's the cheapest way of getting boxes these days? From one of those self-storage companies, maybe? Any recommendations would be very welcome - thanks.

Document storage boxes are best, from stationers or cash & carry stores.
They're strong, since they're meant to take lots of heavyweight paper, they come with lids, and carrying handles, and they stack easily.
Once you're done, they fold flat and can be stored for your next move.0 -
eBay is always a good bet, also if you know anyone who works for a manufacturing company, they also tend to have a spare stockpile in the dispatch department (my company had dozens when I moved).
Also ask anyone you know who has moved recently too as they often have them still in the garage (many probably still not unpacked)• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

Any decent removal firm will supply all the boxes and packing materials needed free of charge, if you have contracted them to pack."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Our removals firm is supplying all the boxes in the cost. They dropped 60 round the other day and said to let them know when we want some more.0

when i moved as i needed special boxes for wine bottles and other stuff I went to Pack n Move
http://www.packnmove.co.uk/
quite quick and efficient delivering the boxes and it meant i could start packing before deciding on a moving company.
the boxes were also sturdy and have lasted a couple of moves now...0
