Ill put a claim in regarding this.
They have been rather difficult and slippery to deal with so far and as this is the first time I’m dealing with this on behalf of my parents to keep their sanity and stress levels in check.

I’d like to thank you all for your replies, as newbie I’m learning a lot from you all.

I’m guessing ill have to push it with them and their complaints department regarding the 8 months clause?
Is there any form of guide lines regarding this clause as I’m guessing their come back will be they have no records of a telephone call that happened 8 years ago?

If thats the only reason theyre rejecting it, then i would put in a complaint.
Even if you hadnt contacted them 8 years ago then i would still be putting in the claim now.

Keep asking for someone higher up until you get some sense from someone.
