Toilets and tradespeople

We're having our new house renovated while still living in our old place. The bathroom is currently being re-done. The bathroom fitters have removed the old bog and chucked it away. I (wrongly) assumed they would immediately fit the new one on, but found out today that they only plan to re-fit it next week when the plastering and tiling is done.
We are due to have other people (kitchen fitters and decorators) working on the rest of the house later this week, when there will obviously be no toilet. The nearest one would be at the local pub or Tesco, both a (short) drive away. They all live about 30 mins away so couldn't just pop home for a pee.
Is it reasonable just to inform them that there will be no toilet and apologise, or should we be hiring a porta-loo for them? Porta-loo option will be about £140.
(I'm assuming the bathroom guys have magic bladders as they don't seem at all fazed by the lack of toilet - but then they were the ones who decided when to remove and refit it, whereas our other tradesmen are innocent bystanders!)

Don't worry, they'll just wee in your garden - hopefully they are all blokes!

You cannot be seriously suggesting hiring them a portaloo. Any self respecting tradesman makes his own arrangements if there is no loo or the householder hasn't specifically said that their own can be used.
The need to pee whilst at work is obvious - an empty 4 litre milk bottle suffices perfectly well for a days output. No 2s are a no-no irrespective of whether a loo is available or not.

They have pee'd in the bath and the sink, I suspected they'd pee'd in the washing machine once.

Presumably the end of the soil pipe is still poking through the bathroom wall?
A camping style porta-potti is £65 in Argos. (Excluded from the money-back guarantee - I did check)
But if it is more than a few days then I would seriously consider the porta-loo hire. Otherwise you don't know what little surprises will be boxed in with the pipework.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
You can get a basic bog from B n Q for £60. Even if you do a basic loose fit, thats got to be cheaper than a portaloo, even if you chuck it away after.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

And can we stop doing this PC !!!!!! about 'tradespeople'. They are Tradesmen. End of. Even the ones with lumpy jumpers.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Tradespeople can't (usually) pee down the soil pipe though, tradesmen can.0

:rotfl::rotfl:Vertical outlets yes. Horizontal ones a few inches off the floor present an interesting challenge.Tradespeople can't (usually) pee down the soil pipe though, tradesmen can.
This thread is going downhill extremely rapidly. Think I'll get some kip before it hits rock bottom and worry about other threads tomorrow.

Hi OP - Honestly, don't worry about hiring a portaloo.
My OH is a trade. If there is no loo available, they will wee in a corner of the back garden. If number 2s are needed, then they'll have to drive to the nearest supermarket loo or McDonalds! That's what usually happens.
Though, I have heard stories about going for a poo in a rubblesack (in the back of the van) and chucking the bag in the skip whilst work is going on. Just pity the people rummaging through skips looking for scrap metal... Eeewwwww! Just had to share that little gem...!
