Website - costs per diem for household devices
Being a bit/lot of a geek, I was interested in ascertaining approximate cost per use/per day of household appliances when I stumbled across this interesting website (seems to be the right place, given it concerns energy use):
I can't post a direct link, but it's called "Confused About Energy", so if you google that plus "household appliances" you should get to it.
It also has some interesting/bizarre/scary moneysaving tips, such as filling a mostly empty freezer section with newspaper (free ones?) to save money... which is a bit OCD really.

Not really, as your freezer has to work a lot harder when it's empty. So keep it full

That's a myth. The energy use of a closed freezer depends on the insulation quality, and the temperature difference; neither changes with contents.ColleenPamela wrote: »Not really, as your freezer has to work a lot harder when it's empty. So keep it full
