So I set up a one off 'regular' investment to take advantage of the £1.50 commission, but imagine my disappointment that the price I got is pretty much the high of the day. It was one of those months your mother warned you about, but all of the buying I did on the 10th and 19th is working well so far.

One I'm particularly pleased with is buying Diageo on the 24th, the day before their results. They'd taken a hammering on bad results from other drinks companies, but the others don't have the global reach of Diageo. As of today I'm 13%+ up, which isn't that important as this is a LTBH, but it does mean that I hold at a very good yield for this sector.
