Joiners cut wood for a living. As there is no wood cutting required then you don't need a joiner. Any half competent handyman could assemble one of these in very short order. In fact, any one with a brain could assemble one. Have a go yourself. As the saying goes "It's not rocket science"

Certainly looks doable as a DiY build if you've any practical bent and a few basic tools. £200 is a lot to save.:money:
Wouldn't it sink into the ground on those thin legs?

I think itt will need some sort of solid base
  • Hi All,

    Thanks for the posts.

Yeah I do know it is a bit to save, but I'm not DIY-friendly and tbh I don't actually think the family and friends I know aren't too great either.

One of my neighbours has a very similar one. He's not particularly DIY minded, but put it all together with a bit of lifting help etc. in a day.
It's designed for home assembly, if you can put a flat pack unit together then you can do that too.

my husband is a joiner his job just does not involve cutting wood, it also involves fixing and fitting cupboards/cabinets fitting doors/handles in fact too many things to list. it may not be rocket science but if you have not got the correct tools and equipment, and you havent got a clue were to start then you are going to wish you got someone to do the job for you.

and as for a rough ideal of cost a joiner would typically charge around £100 to £120 per day for labour only
