Firefox1 upgrade to version2 ?

I've been running Firefox1 for some time with no probs. I've now downloaded Firefox2 to disc, but I'm nervous about installing; as that's when things seem to go wrong. I will create a restore point before installing.

Is Firefox2 a definite improvement on version1 and should I install it?

Are there any common problems arising after installing this upgrade ?

All info appreciated

It is not a great advance over 1.5 for the average user. A few extensions didn't work initially, but most are OK now, I believe. Rather like IE7, you'll have to install it eventually.

I had a few problems after upgrading! lost my bookmarks 4 times, then the spell check stopped working  Had to uninstall then delete the Mozilla folder to get it working right. I think FF 1 is gonna be supported for a few months yet, maybe stick with it till then...

  • always always always install upgrades due to security reasons. When exploits are uncovered new versions are released :)
