Save the date cards

hi bit worried as i have put our surnames on our save the date cards and i know people dont tend to do this. but we thought we are sending them to relatives who know more than 1 person with 1 of our names and would get confused as we have not had an engagement party and not everyone knows we are getting married and we dont want to ring around people hope that makes sense. im getting worried and starting to think we should order some more and just hope people will know or have i got this all wrong im confusing myself arrrrrr stressed xxx

Why would it matter that your surname is on it? Surely it's clearer because your name is on it...

Must admit, I can't say I would think twice if someone had their surname on their save the date :S

I think your save the dates sound absolutely fine. It sounds sensible to include your surnames to make sure nobody is confused about who is getting married!

This wedding planning malarky can make you over think things sometimes- I am definitely guilty of this! Honestly, I am sure none of your guests will even question why your surnames are on them. Send them out and start spreading the word :D

I don't thing anyone would question your surnames being on the SaveTheDate cards. And they are your SaveTheDate cards so you can put whatever you like on them.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

Aw don't feel that way, send them out :j I bet you were dead excited when you first got them.

Remember it's your wedding and you can do things however you want them! If that means putting your surname on something, then put your surname on it.

Don't fall into the trap of doing things because you think you should/other people do it that way/it's expected/no-one else does that.............

You get one wedding day with your fabulous H2B, enjoy planning it together and remember the excitement and happiness you felt at becoming engaged and really everything else should fall into place. It's your one time to totally do what you both want to do :rotfl:

I'm just under 7 weeks away from my wedding, all my daytime guests have confirmed they're coming and I never even sent out save the date cards to anybody, just e-mailed people and told them we'd got a date and that was it. There's no right or wrong in this whole wedding malarkey - just do what you want or not. I'm also getting married without the aid of chair covers which you'd think is a mortal sin when you hear how some brides have nervous breakdowns if their chair cover ties don't exactly match napkins :rotfl:
  • thank you for your replys im gonna send them out at the weekend sod it ha ha the were free of vista print just paid for the delivery thats why i thought its no bigey if i change them but no u are all right its my wedding ill do it my way :j
