reclaim PPI from Lloyds

Hi Ipswich1984,
I assume you are referring to my Lloyds claim?
You will see from my first post that I didn't have to send back an acceptance letter at all?
All I did was ring them when the offer letter arrived and requested that they return my claim via BACS rather than them sending a chq.
I did that on 15 Aug so assuming it arrives by 19 Sept (10 working days from yesterday when I last chased them) it would have taken 36 days in total. Fingers crossed it is here by then as I put my claim in back in May!
Goof luck with your claim. :0)0 -
Another quick update on Lloyds. Well my payments dates of the 15th & 19th September both passed without a penny being recieved, so yesterday I phoned Lloyds yet again. Please be warned, they have now set up a so called dedicated telephone number for these queries and i was on hold for 1 hour 8 mins BEFORE I got to speak to anyone!!!
Anyway, the bottom line is that I was told yesterday that my payment was now at least "a few weeks" away. I went nuts, and demanded to speak to a manager as i was fed up of being fobbed off all the time. Managed to speak to a team leader who could see that I had been given incorrect information that my payment was on its way numerous times by different employees. In light of this he has actually picked out my payment, personally passed it onto the finance dept and has assured me I will definitely have my cash by Wed next week AT THE VERY LATEST! However this is becasue I kicked up a stink, was emailing the CEO whilst I was on hold and he could see that staff were giving me inaccurate info on my payment date. I think those that still have a claim in the pipeline and especially those who have accepted a refund offer, will have a VERY long wait. From what I can tell, those who accepted in Aug might be lucky to have their money by the end of Oct! Good luck all and rest assured i'll be back on here if I am not £2k better off by Wednesday!)

Hi all
I put my original complaint in with Lloyds for mortgage ppi in May. Received 2 letters confirming they had my complaint then a letter saying the PPI had been cancelled. 6 weeks went by and when I called them they said they never had the complaint!! I had to send it off again. I got a letter approx 4 weeks ago advising they would pay me back everything plus interest. I sent off my acceptance form within 2 days. 2 weeks later I called the "dedicated" line (waited 58mins) to be told they hadn't received my acceptance form but there is a backlog and it can take 3 weeks or longer for it to be scanned on (utter rubbish). 2 days later I got a letter telling me they were withdrawing their offer as they could not find any record I had ppi with my mortgage. I was then told to prove I had it. I paid ppi for 10.5years!!!! Luckily I have every annual mortgage statement but I dont see why I should prove anything, they have access to my accounts. I have sent off a very strongly worded complaint and basically told them to do their job, I will not send any proof and I will quite happily take my complaint to the FOS. I finally managed to speak to someone who had half a brain who apologised and told me they probably had a quick look at the account number and "thought it wasn't one of their accounts" so just withdraw the offer! This is a disgusting way to deal with a complaint. I am owed approx £3.5k back and I would have hoped to have been receiving it by October. God knows when I will get it now!0 -
Oh dear Rising, I feel for you. My update today just shows how crap Lloyds are.
As mentioned above, I logged onto my bank account this morning and was overjoyed to see that finally Loyds have repaid my £2072.91 claim. RESULT! but imagine my shock when I see that a second credit of £2087.78 had ALSO been received!
So Lloyds seem to have paid me twice although the second receipt is for a different amount!
Anyway, I shan't spend it, I'll put it in my ISA and wait for them to ask for it back! Unvelievable!! But I'm finally happy that my claim with them is now over and I WON!!! YAY! :0)0 -
Just add before I get linched, I am VERY aware that it is unlawful to knowingly keep money that you are aware does not belong to you, however, I shall return every penny when Lloyds ask for it.
They have had my cash since 2004 and no doubt earnt interest on it, so now its my turn. I refuse to spend anymore money on stamps or telephone calls just so I can let them know of yet ANOTHER error on their part. So for now, it will sit quiety awaiting a claim from it's rightful owner and in the meantime, I'll earn the interest for change! ;o)0 -
Great news Ruth!!! You are quite right keeping the money until they ask for it, I'm sure it won't be long as they are now slow asking us for money! Shame we, their customers need to wait a hell of a long time for our money back. I have to wait until next Fri to phone back for an update. Yet another frustrating call no doubt. Enjoy your money x0
