    You are right but, to be honest, it is theoretical. Judges in Small Claims don't really give a stuff.

    Once the 14 days have passed, THEN you can take them to court, but there is no point doing this until you have shown that you have taken reasonable efforts to recover it before court.

    What's the problem with them having your address?

    You don't NEED to send a recorded delivery letter. It may be good practise but it isn't a requirement.
