Hi
As a 40th birthday treat I'm looking to book a weekend in London and would really like to see Phantom of the Opera. However I'm looking around for some cheap tickets but most of the tickets say either Limited view or restricted view? I don't want to buy them if I'm not going to be able to see, can anyone advise just how restrictive or limited the viewing is?
Many thanks

We bought tickets on the day from TKTS for the upper circle and we the got upgraded to the dress circle when we got in as they closed the upstairs altogether.
Restricted views often mean you have a rail in front of you or overhang from the tier above. I don't think I'd be in a hurry to get a restricted view for a show like this, I have for other shows when it has been dirt cheap, but for phantom, you'll want to experience it in full/0 -
Thanks for that. We are only able to go at weekends and can only see a Saturday evening show, so I dare not wait to book on the day incase they don't have any tickets available, as it's the only show my husband will see. Wouldn't be so bad if we had a choice of shows that he would see.0

Look on theatremonkey.com, they list which seats have restrictive views etc for all the major theatres and peoples reviews of them. I have just booked tickets for Les Miserables through seetickets.com as they seemed to have more availability than ticketmaster.0

I don't know if you can still get tickets (you may need to call and see if there are returns), but Oct 1st and 2nd is an incredible 25th anniversary production of Phantom at the Royal Albert Hall, being filmed.

This will be the show of the year.0 -
I think the tickets for the RAH are sold out, ridiculous prices on a certain auction site. I wanna see that show aswell as the original cast from Love Never Dies (Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo) will be in it.0

Would love to, however the price for the weekend is coming up as £637 for both of us and am not sure whether I can justify the price?
Although have been getting quotes to inc hotel+theatre tickets and rail and it's coming up at £600, without the theatre tickets it's going to be £445, should I book this and then book the theatre tickets seperately? Just worried about the seating though, don't know where the best affordable seats are?0 -
You could try here - http://www.whatsonstage.com/index.php?pg=1190&page=165 but Saturday night is the most popular night, and Phantom is one of those shows that consistantly sells well. Theatremonkey for seating plans. Also shows deals for hotel and shows, I believe.
The Phantom show at the Royal Albert Hall will be screened live to cinemas around the country on Sunday 2nd October (they did a similar show for Les Mis from the O2, I saw it at the cinema and thought it was wonderful and none of that awful Sunday night travel from the O2. So you could book cheap tickets for something else and take him to the cinema to see Phantom -?- (I do have my £45 restricted view up in the Gods seat already)

The cinemas in question are the Picturehouse chain (and others?)
picturehouses.co.uk - they have cinemas all over the country0 -

If you look at https://www.phantom25th.com, they have released another batch of tickets, discounted at £65. Get in quick!0 -
I'm sure you've already booked, but if you can wait to go in the first 6 weeks of the year you can get tickets on the Get Into London Theatre offer for £35. They possibly might not be Saturday night though.
Pay top price for Phantom and sit in the stalls or dress circle. You will not regret it.0
