I'm glad i'm not the only person that thinks this about the Waters Edge Ruislip ... I used to go there regularly ... but it has really gone donwnhill over the last year or so ... It's a shame really because it's in a nice spot and used to be great at one time ..

Agree with this too. The lido itself is lovely, but we went there last month and whilst the food wasnt too bad, the place was not. If i'd have seen the toilets before we ate i think i'd have left. It was disgusting. There was actual crap up the walls. seriously what does a woman have to do to get poop up the wall in a public toilet. Nasty nasty nasty. I complained to the staff and they just didnt care. Shame as the location is great, but wudnt go back there unless starved and beaten

I NEVER use the toilets in there. The OAPs used to park near the back entrance on the yellow lines with their blue badges but the council have made it all no loading now so if you see any OAPs parking there please warn them they need to park in the car park or they will get a ticket on the yellow lines even if they have a badge

Price increase to £6 mark on Sundays and bank holidays. I always avoid eating there then as you cannot redeem vouchers on those days.

To be honest , if i had read this without having been to The Waters Edge i would have sworn that you were exaggerating ... but i believe you ... The loos were in a hell of a state when i was last there about 6 weeks ago ...
I won't even start on the food that day ... or the state of the place ...or the staff ! ( there are a few that have been there for a couple of years , which are really nice and helpful ) .. but the rest .. well ... thats another story !
Quite honestly i am surprised that it hasn't been closed down by enviromental health .... like it was last year for a while .
As i said before it's such a shame because on a summers day The Lido itself is lovely ... and the outside patio area is a real suntrap if you are trying to get a tan ;) ...
Unless things really change here .. then it's a just a drink there then a meal elsewhere down in Ruislip ..

  • My brother swears by the Langroyd in Colne, though I haven't been myself. He goes regularly, even though it's 12 miles away and, believe me, his wife is fussy so it must be ok! Has anyone used the Picture House in Leeds, I thought it might be good for when I am there on a shopping trip?

  • I went this afternoon with my sister and nephew. I must say I was very unimpressed. The staff were far from helpfull, boardering on rude and my vegetarian option was a plate of veg, all of which was very bland. I could see why they were only charging £2.99.
I will however say that the highlight of my day was when I took my 6 year old nephew to the loo where he proudly announced in front of other ladies that he was "doing lots of poos" and that he hoped it was a "long one" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: it had me and the other ladies in stitches :rotfl::rotfl:

Bartlewood Lodge in Derby is quite good. Very good value for money.
