Another great thing is you can ask for a jug of water, hehe!! Free drinks :D

I will now admit to what I do when we go as a family

The kids ask for all 3 meats as do we (don't worry folks, all diners have this option offered to them!).
Then before the kids put gravy on their meals, I pop the extra meat in a ziplok bag to have on a salad the next day!!!

The meat is way too generous and would be wasted otherwise which is a terrible waste of good food.

Can anyone beat this thriftiness? 4 meals and dinner the next day for £12!!!! :T

Jumblejack your local one must be better than ours, which I will go to if I'm starving and don't want to cook as its a good price but at times it can be awful.

Having said that the best Crown Carvery in the world is near Birmingham at Warmley, I think its called The Fox so anyone in that area I recommend you get a voucher and go there, its always busy, I went to stay with my niece and went on four consequetive nights !

We have been to countless ones now all over the place. Wherever we go on a day out, if it's far from home, we find the most local one. When we stay at hotels, we always have tea at a nearby one. We have been so lucky so far!!

Fabtastic meals all freshly prepared. Mmmmm. Makes me wanna go again. Nearly went yesterday but it's a lot more expensive on bank hols so ended up going for a 2 for 1 at a Marstons pub. Gutted as I would have printed off the free drinks vouchers from the MSE email if I'd known in advance!!!!

Go for it! I really have never found a bad un yet. They are pretty consistent. Same high standard in em all yet in our experience.

Best place to eat out anywhere A huge saving on a family meal. Consider McD's. Way cheaper than them yet freshly cooked and more vegetables and meat than you can shake a stick at! No comparison!

I'm glad i'm not the only person that thinks this about the Waters Edge Ruislip ... I used to go there regularly ... but it has really gone donwnhill over the last year or so ... It's a shame really because it's in a nice spot and used to be great at one time ..
