That's what I said. Better they have someone else in to help with the rent than they couldn't afford to keep up payments on their own.0 -
Just explain to Tenant you'll have to advise HMRC of his other income unless there is proof/a better explanation of no subletting : Landlord is declaring THEIR rental income to HMRC already??0

Yes. L's property is being used more intensively and by someone whom L did not permit to occupy.

I would advise him, in the economic climate we are in, if he gets rent regularly and on time and the property is in good condition to just to leave it.
He could then find himself with a tenant who does no pay?
Greed is normally the issue.0
