Using up brown bread

We recently bought a couple of loaves of brown bread that had been reduced. However, when we got them home, we realised we only have room for one in the freezer, so I need to find some recipes that can use some of it up.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm vegetarian.

Bread and butter pudding is always good Delia's got a good recipe.

Or, if you prefer savoury things, you can put the bread in a low oven for a few hours to dry out, then whizz up into breadcrumbs to use for coating fish, sprinkle on top of pasta bake/lasagne/potato bake for added crunchiness.

Does bread and butter pudding work with brown bread? I've only ever made it with white before.

Have had bb icecream and it is yummy, trouble is, I've not got much room in the freezer. Thank you for the suggestion though Miro.

... And yes, B&B pudding does work with brown bread... Especially if you add marmalade! At this time of year, you could make an apple pudding with a bread crust.
