Hi
I've just ordered some things off Vistaprint.com. On the website it said if I spend over £20 I get £10 off my order if I enter the code. I did this and in my shopping cart popped up a save icon saying '£10 off with orders over £20' so I tried to check out and before I pressed confirm, I noticed that the final price hasn't included the £10 off. So I emailed them a few times to let them know and they said the price would be included at check out.
So I took their word for it and 'checked out'. But now my invoice has been emailed to me with no discount price included. Despite the discount being in my cart. I've now emailed them asking if it the price that I am actually billed for will include the discount and they replied saying 'we'll offer you 25% off your next order'. I'm now furious that they havent given me my £10 off. I dont plan to use them again but does anyone have any experience as to how I can get my £10 off? Do threaten taking them to the small claims court? Or do I just say that I want my £10 off now as I dont plan to use them again. I have a screen shot of the discount in my cart although I did add a few extra things to the cart after the screen shot as I thought I was getting £10 off.
What are my consumer rights here? What position should I take? I'd really appreciate any help as I havent been in this situation before.
Many thanks
Charlie

Beware, there are reports of other customers finding regular amounts taken from their account due to a reward scheme they didn't know they'd joined.
Overall they don't have a good reputation to judge from consumer complaints posted on the internet.
My advice in orange at the bottom of this post is advice that I'd recommend all consumers should follow.Never ever give your card details to anyone over the phone, and check the reputation of any company you do intend to give them to.0 -
Neither......
If you tell them to refund the £10 as your not using them again, do you expect them to do it? Afterall they've already lost your business. If you threaten to go to small claims court then they will laugh at you, nobody in the right mind wastes time and money going to court over a tenner.
Write them a letter of complain keeping it objective and factual and make no mention to the fact you will never be using them again. I very much doubt you will get in back though.
Their checkout system is controversial in offering you this, that and everything else so it is very easy to mistakenly sign up for a subscription based product.
Infact the whole company is controversial for its poor service and cheap tactics -- but dispite this, if you use their website properly you can actually get some pretty good deals, which is why millions of one people use them!0 -
thanks for the responses. Shall I just accept it then?0

Accept that you might not win this one, yes.
Accept it and move on, no.
Keep emailing them/writing to them, hopefully they will start getting so sick off you they will give you £10 back -- that or delete/bin them
It costs nothing to contact them via email, so worth a shot.0
