Any car insurers beating renewal quotes?

Are there any current car insurers that will guarantee to beat you car insurance renewal quote? I know Barclays and a few others have done this in the past but can't find anyone doing it now. My renewal price happens to be cheapest option after getting quotes again so would be pleased if someone could beat it :)

    I'm having the same problem, even places that say they can beat it aren't at the moment :(.
    What is pi? Where did it come from?

    Admiral did for me. Simply called up told them that on comparethemarket I was getting quotes of £800 odd whereas their renewal quote was over £1100, could they match it. Within a minute or so came back with a quote of £770.

    That's not what the OP is asking for though. They want somebody who isn't the current insurer to beat their renewal price.

    If you haven't sorted this years renewal out, Santander Insurance have a beat your motor insurance renewal scheme in place - 20% off your car insurance renewal premium. I can't post a link, but go to the Santander website, and click on the Insurance tab.

    I'm with Admiral and beat my renewal quote with elephant.co.uk (30% cheaper & cheapest quote!). As they are owned by the same company that owns Admiral, they looked up the quote and price matched - paying less now than I was 2 years ago - quote is cheaper than Santander etc even with their headline 20% off :)

    Except they couldnt beat my sisters renewal.
