best bargain electric planer

I have four doors to fit upstairs and as they all will need cutting down a bit to size and im only on about a few mile of width-which my jig saw wont cut that thinness straight-i have been looking at buying an electric planer-seem to go in price from about £25 -£30 upwards in argos book-not looked elsewhere yet-anyone have any recommendations and are they good for just say taking 3 or 4 mm of a width of an internal door-do they do a good and neat job?

thank you

I would suggest a hand planer much cheaper and you can control it more.

Just shouted to mr divadee and he recommended the same.

my mom has a hand planer and i know that thing is useless lol-sometimes it just dont cut then it digs in and takes a wallop off-so not keen on using a hand planer tho.....
  • Lots of cheap electric tools about, Lidl and aldi are usually good as 3 yr Gtee.but none at mo. Try B&Q as they are clearing old ranges, or Argos £29.99
It doesnt have to be a professional tool for small jobs, and they do last

Try B&Q as they are clearing old range, or Argos has this for £29.99 and this at £19.99

  • What timing, looks as if Aldi will have one on the 16th of September for £14.99 according to their offers leaflet that just came through my door today.
    Cheers
