Received Santander letter - is this usual?

Hi there, hope someone can help me. I am in the process of claiming back 5 x PPI - 1 from Egg (which has been successful), 2 from Lloyds TSB, 1 from Black Horse and 1 from Santander for my Evans card.
I have had my Evans card for a long time, and have sent in the PPI form. Today I have received a letter stating - "Thank you for contacting us about the insurance on your account. As you requested this has now been cancelled".
Nothing else in the letter about the complaint, or PPI, or anything? Is this something that Santander normally do, or is this unusual? Any help you can give would be appreciated, thank you

Give them a call or send an email to chase up.
It's possible that the complaints dept has arranged for the PPI to be cancelled, and the people who do that function have sent a letter before the complaints people have had chance to acknowledge your complaint.
Either that, or the person dealing with your letter hasn't read it properly.0 -
thanks drsqueeze, i phoned them and the person on the line didn't understand what I was talking about. Have had it confirmed from someone who was successful in a Santander claim that this apparently is what they do. I have emailed them for confirmation. You're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0
