Changing from G to N Router do I need a new Wireless Adaptor?

Yes N can have longer range but he already has G working OK so still probably doesn't need N. At less than £8 then buying that N USB adapter is cheap but I seriously doubt it will make any difference at all to the current setup.0

I upgraded to a N Modem/Router plus N adapters for the kids PCs. It improved things for them in terms of speed and resilience (not losing signal).
This had always been a problem but got much much worse when a neighbour got a BT Hub which swamped us.
I still have a G on the home PC and there is no difference in speed between the Kids and this one.
As a PP said the dongles can be attached to a USB extension cable for flexibility - my old D Link and Net GEar dongles were dsupplied with them.
Currently using TP Link Modem/Router and adapters and they are really good for the price."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Yes TP Link kit is cheap and seems to work. I have one of their dumb gigabit switches.0

Yep I was really pleased with it. The dongle setup wasn't too intuitive but apart from that fine and the driver discs were in German. I picked English ones up off the web.
I had seen so much poor feedback on the major brands I thought I would give them a go and at the time they were only 50% of the cost.:)"If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

I was considering changing my broadband from Plusnet to BT but when I phoned Plusnet to ask for my MAC code they have talked me into staying by knocking off £4 a month and giving me a free new N router.
But.....I'm a bit confused!!On my old desktop I currently have a Belkin G USB wireless adapter like this http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/9663435/Belkin-F5D7050-Wireless-G-54Mbps-USB-Network-Adapter/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518|cat:9663435|prd:9663435 when I asked the Plusnet person if I needed a new N one she said NO?? Will the new router work with a G adapter and surely even if it does I would be better with an N one to give a better speed / signal wouldn't I?
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks!
I'm afraid I don't know enough about routers to make a comment but wise decision, OnAndUp, to stay with Plusnet.

Think Plusnet is the "budget" off shoot of BT."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Absolutely correct and far better than BT itself.0 -

But it's from Yorkshire, what do you expect...."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Looks good - much better than the G one they used to supply. Could not find any reviews so the proof will be in the (Yorkshire) pudding;)0
