2 nights away

Hope you can help me! me and my DH would like to have 2 nights away somewhere to celebrate my birthday. As it would be 2 nights off from the children we don't mind where we go or what we do. I like a spa and somewhere with some night life not too far away, we don't mind flying but we have a budget of £300 - £400. Dates have to be 9th - 11th September 2011 Any suggestions? We live in Essex so would prefer to travel from Stansted or Gatwick or Ebbsfleet (Eurostar), any ideas are appreciated x

Suggest you use skyscanner for the 2 airports you ve chosen, isolate the best time to get most from your celebration - ie early morning flight on Day 1 will have you at your destination for a late lunch in the sun.... time that with a late departure and you will gain that afternoon too

The cheapest option I can see from France (not E Star) Italy and Spain is Madrid. Bad news is a this short notice fllights are not cheap. Madrid is coming in at around £300. That doesnt leave you much spare for hotels etc. Wonder if you should consider a 2 night break here, try Superbreak they do really good value 2 night inc BB and first night dinner. Did myself at a de vere not long ago with my partner and I had beauty treatments one pm. we bith really enjoyed and it saved us money on the Spanish weekend we ahd been looking at. HTH
