Starting a reclaim for MINT credit card charges - what address?

Hello everyone!

I'm just starting a MINT credit charge reclaim and would like some advice please...(thanks).

Q1 - can I ask for the following back?

05/05/2004 Late payment fee 20
05/06/2004 Late payment fee 20
02/10/2006 Late payment fee 12
01/11/2006 Late payment fee 12
04/12/2006 Late payment fee 12
TOTAL 76

Q2 - where should I send the cc_letter1 template from this site? I've got;

I've just been sorting out my MINT charges complaint and they are only offering the difference between the accepted £12 late fee and any larger charges + 8%. The FOS are going along with this too. So only the first two late fees on your list would count and they'd only refund £8 on each + 8% on top. However you might get lucky and they might refund the lot, only one way to find out!

Many thanks misschicken! I take it you asked for all your charges, plus interest, in your first letter, and they then responded with the offer of the difference? This at least gives me some hope that they'll read the letter and respond!:o

Yes, asked for the whole caboodle but just got the difference + 8%. I checked with the FOS who said they considered that fair. However, I got all charges plus 8% back from Creation Finance on a store card about two years ago which was a unexpected surprise, don't know why they paid more than they could have got away with so didn't ask! Request all of your charges back and see what happens.

Hi all,

Just a quick note to say MINT have been back in contact (letter was only sent on 01/09/11) - they state the 3 x £12 charges are in line with OFT guidance and will not be refunded. However, they have completely ignored the 2 x £20 charges - they don't show up on their breakdown from 2005-2011.

They are clearly shown on two MINT statements from May and June 2004. Are these dates beyond what can be claimed back, or should I send a further letter asking for the 2 x £20 (with 8% interest)?
