I have a Lenovo laptop which connects through my main PC's wireless router (Virgin Media).
The laptop has a wireless card built in.
Been working fine, but last night the wireless cut off, I've tried all the usual things (restarting the router, and pressing Ctrl +f5 to turn on the wireless card), but nothing.
Main PC is still working fine.
When i try to 'diagnose' on the laptop, it says 'Turn on wireless capability' - I do this by pressing Ctrl + f5, but nothing happens except
this black box comes up.

Tried a system restore to yesterday morning, but it's the same.
Can anyone advise how I can fix this?

Some years ago I went through a similar problem with my laptop, it turned out to be a switch on the front of it that I had accidently caught and turned off.
Oh how I laughed when my mate pointed it out0 -
Might be worth checking your device manager and see if the device is working fully and has no issues.
Is the wireless card activating and your detecting networks and you simply need to connect or is it nor working at all? Your post is a little unclear but sounds like the latter.0 -
Ok martin, it looks like you were right.
I didn't know there was a switch at the front, thought it was just Ctrl+f5.
LOL... anyway it's working now, thanks guys!I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

Reminds me of the day my wife said she can't watch the Tv in the kitchen, cos the batteries in the remote were flat, and she couldn't find new ones. I of course pressed the standby button on the Tv :T
