Problems with HBOS Faster Payment?

I make faster payments daily to my OH.
Today I have £10 left in my account and I wish to transfer £10 to my parter also with HBOS. When I go to do it it says
"
Unable to continue - Payment failed
Sorry, we are unable to continue with your payment at this time. "
Anyone else having problems today? Its rather frustrating!
I have available funds of exactly £10.
Thanks

Try sending £9.99.0

Oh I can't, he needs the £10 to buy fresh fruit/veg from green grocers who don't accept card!
Thanks for the advice though!0 -
Get him to send you £1.01 and send him £11.00 back (the trick is to leave 1p in the account).
Or apply for a small overdraft online.
Or transfer him £9.99 and send him to the supermarket for fruit.0 -
He didn't have any money in his account that is why I was transferring him £10, would much rather support our local green grocer than big moneygrabbing supermarket chains and I'm not getting an overdraft and paying fee's when all I want to do is transfer my own money!
Its ok got it sorted though. But thank you again for your replies!

I don't think it'll be anything to do with Faster Payments if you both bank with HBOS, FP is only used for transfers between banks, this will be an internal transfer. I've never let myself get that close to having no money but I suspect O4U may well be right that it won't allow the sending account to go down to zero.0

Their systems have been going on and off today if that is any help. Maybe it was because you were trying to transfer the amount of what was in your account and it doesn't like that I don't know, for future best practice would be to send eg £9.99 if that would have helped at the other end.0
