SASH WINDOW SNAPPED AND GLASS WIDNOW SMASHED. how much to replace?

Hi
just wondering how much a window is to replace.
the sash cord has been broken for a while and need replacing.
any ideas how much that is?
But the immediate problem is the top part of the window was unlocked and opened yesterday (and with a missing cord) came down like a guillotine and smashed the glass.
any ideas how much it cost to fix the glass window?
the reason i ask is i have insurance but have a pretty hefty excess so before i call the insurance company thought i woudl get a rough idea from someone on this site
any help really appreciated

I paid £90 to have one pane of my sash window replaced, and about £50 to have a loose sash cord fixed (it was part of a larger job so this is an estimate!). This was in London.0

the above is about right.
glass is fairly cheap. i paid 15 quid for a half door glass last year.
ps.
insurance does not cover wear and tear of the property.
maintenance is down to you. you have to keep the house in a good state of repair. its part of your insurance contract.Get some gorm.0 -
measure how big the window is and phone local glaziers for an quote.0
