My partner and i Until recently have managed all our finances seperately. Since loosing our jobs, we have a number of defaults and CCJs bewtween us and so have been unable to get a joint account. They cover al the nig lenders too.
We have run a reletively sucessul eBay busisness which we have declared each year via our tax returns.
We have now dedcided to setup a ltd company.
Our ebay business cheque and paying in books are in sole trader from and our curent bankers (HSBC) and (Santander) will not allow us to open new ones for the ltd company, ahich has a very different name.
Any help on banks we could try? or can we use the sole trader ac!!!!s even though the names are completely different?
At the momemt most of or cash is being held in payPal,but we do want the facility to accept and pay cheques etc. with even the possibility of reaning interest.
Many thnaks and treat us gently with out first post it has taken a lot of courage R&D

If its a Limited Company then the Account should be held in the name of the company as it is its own legal entity.
Make sure your paypal account is also a business account in the name of the limited company to avoid any problems.
For banking have a look at the Nat West Foundation Account, it should do what you need, others have reported success with Lloyds but AFAIK only Nat West offer a specific account.0
