Hello,
I have a settlement offer from MBNA (premiums + interest + 8%). The letter said that a cheque would be sent to me within 28 days, which was 6 weeks ago now so I was going to fire off a letter to nudge them along. Should I be asking for the interest elements of the settlement to be adjusted to take into account the extra time that has lapsed since the letter 6 weeks ago?
Thank you

Yes, ask for additional interest as they've not paid when they said they would.
Well done by the way on getting your offer :beer:0 -
I've been fed all sorts of nonsense from MBNA over the phone in the last few weeks regarding the settlement amount they offered. However they've now agreed to to correct their calculations and bring the interest element right up to date to cover the additional period of time-wasting and mis-information since they upheld my complaint. Not big potatoes in the grand scheme of things but worth it nonetheless.
Despite the saga they've made of it they've still strangely become the quickest and most accurate (eventually) of any of the companies I've been dealing with by a mile! Who knew?!:)0
