Can i take the goods back to comet and explain we have seen the goods cheaper?
The goods are still boxed.

Returns policy for items purchased in a Comet store
If your product is brand new, unused and the box is unopened
Just take it back to a Comet store with your receipt within 28 days (14 days for a computer).We'll either give you a full refund or a gift card - it's up to you.
If you've opened the box
As long as you've not actually used the product, the process is the same. But if the item costs £25 or more, there's a restocking fee of 10% of the original price up to a maximum of £99. This pays for repackaging and restocking.

They have a price match policy I think, but I doubt they will match Makro as it isn't open to everyone and is intended for business customers.0

Factor in the VAT at Makro and cost of getting to and from Comet, the return trip to Makro (hoping said items will still be there at the price you've seen ) plus a value on your time and then see if its still worth it.2014 Target;
To overpay CC by £1,000.
Overpayment to date : £310

And the 10% restocking fee needs to be taken into account2014 Target;

So assuming the items were £50 on Makro add VAT then the total price is £60.
You paid £65 in Comet less 10% restocking fee brings this down to £58.50.
So even without time, petrol and hassle you lose.0 -
Restocking fee is only if the goods are opened. OP says they are notOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Leap of faith there - the OP says they are "still boxed"; the box(es) may have been opened.

"still" boxed implies that their condition has not changed.One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0
