HI, I know it is probably to late now but does anyone know whether I can get a flight and hotel for 2 people for 3 nights in september? We are abit late booking because of family reasons, and was hoping to go but when we went to the travel agents they couldn't find anything.

It will be possible, of course. It's the type of destination that would be better to book independantly. There are plenty of hotels, cheaper ones on the Lido or in Mestre (town on the mainland, 5 mins by train from Venice island). Flights might be expensive this late on, however.

richardw we want to fly from east midlands if we can and want to go16th to 19th september and want twin rooms. Thanks both for your reply, I thought it might be leaving it abit to late now, to book anything without paying out loads, but thought would just put on here in case anyone knew anything

Ryanair have some pretty cheap flights to Venice for around those dates - not for the Monday but Saturday and Tuesday out (£9 inc tax) returning on say the Saturnday £36. So a return could still cost less than £75 in total
I went a couple of years ago in September and didn't book a hotel until the day before - got a really nice hotel on the Lido at a good price. Don't be put off by the fact that the Lido is a little way from Venice - the trip across the lagoon each morning and evening was a pleasure. Buy the Tourest Travel Card which allows you to hop on and off the Vaporetto as and when you feel like it.
Use the usual hotels.com, laterooms.co.uk, lastminute.com to find a cheapie0
