Bless she didn't know what had hit her
Couldn't get back out to T's until this evening and only 15 aaa's on the shelf
Double checked glitch still working with 6 then happily took other 9 with some shopping, my mum was made up, thanks for the advice on going back

So I take it there's none left in Carmarthen for me then???

Didnt feel like going to tesco today, we lost our dog yesterday and we are all devastated... couldnt get myself to go anywhere today.. But I was hoping to go tomorrow, I suppose there's no point now..

A little of topic ..(hope I won't be told off as a newbie on this particular board) ... but I so felt for you when I read your post.

We lost our beloved bullmastiff Abbie in November - your whole soul aches tears just don't seem enough, but day by day you make progress & it slowly gets better (I promise ;)).

My hubby recently brought in a little sister (another bullie) for our loved & desperately missed babe, at first I didn't want to love her as I felt so disloyal to Abbie, but she has helped us cope with the loss and now I couldn't and wouldn't be without her ... she is a little angel.

Big hug to you .... and all those who know the pain of losing a whole bundle of furry love ... xxx :A

    Holly x

PS - just so I don't get told off ...:o ... re batteries - Tesco (main) scanned buy 1 get 2 free - with nada extra ... still a raging good deal though for extra life AA batts.

Well they had no AAA when I got there and I had 12 packs of AA but did leave about 12 but went back later to see if they had restocked AAA and they had all gone! May have restocked though as this was early afternoon? So sorry to hear about your dog.

Can anyone tell me if these are worth keeping at the b1g2f price. The glitch didn't work for me so was thinking of taking back as i normally get £1 packs from poundland with 12 in. Trying to figure out if these are better quality/will last longer and worth keeping? tia
  • I've just got back from Blackpool and can confirm they had them in (as of about an hour ago now )and the lady had a massive container filling the batteries up.
    thanks op x

Those will be Zinc Chloride batteries, whereas these are Alkaline. I think you can get 6 alkaline batteries in Poundland for £1. Zinc Chloride are good for low power devices, like clocks, remote controls. Alkaline are better for higher powered devices like radios, torches, toys, digital cameras - as they last far longer.

I went back to my store today to get some more and shelves were empty but they had changed the label to show full price no offer, where as last night when I got the glitch it had b1g1f label.

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)
