whitstable (Kent) fish and chips

In paper or at the table - any suggestions for the best fish and chips in Whitstable?

  • There is much debate from the 'Bubblians as to where the best fish and chips are but we like to get them wrapped and either sit on the sea wall or nestled against a groin out of the wind. The sun-sets are fantastic so grab a bottle of wine from Whitstable Wine Shack, stop into Jones' on Harbour Street and wander down to the beach. You can eat in at Jones' although there is no ventilation so be prepared to eat your meal enveloped in the smell of hot oil and fried food. Other options are outside the picnic tables at Mr Chips (Tower Parade) which is also a strong contender for best fish and chips.

Pirategirl did you mean "groin" or "groyne"; the latter being a wooden structure on the beach the former being a somewhat more personal and intimate place! I can see how either might appeal for fish and chip consumption!
Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!
