Scottish Power - misleading email

As a customer of SP I've received an email saying when my fixed deal ends on Wednesday they will automatically move me to the Capped Price deal that ends in January 2014. The email is misleading as it says there are no cancellation charges which implies I could move at any time free of charge. The terms and conditions say there are cancellation charges up until December 2013. It may be there is a short opt out period following the automatic switch to the new deal but if there is they should specify exactly what it is.
