First of all it is in the Daily Mail so you have to factor that in
Secondly, can earn £400 pw is not will earn £400 pw, it is not guaranteed and therefore if you had bills to pay it will cause problems.
However this is not a uncommon thing to happen. Some jobs will be socked in with applications whereas some will only get a few even today. But even so you would have thought some school leavers or those who live at home with their parents might have a crack at it. You may as well forget the long term unemployed for this post as it needs get up and go and for most (not all) their drive has got up and goneThe World come on.....0 -
That is surprising! I thought loads of people were interested in telesales :S0

minimum wage job rest is commission these posts have a notoriously high turnover in staff but each to their own if you are able to live and pay bills on min wage it is a start as should never bank on commission etc excuse the pun.I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

Couldn't the original poster have just responded to the story on the Daily Mail website rather than trying to start a new story here? Did you need to feel like you've made some kind of investigative discovery?0

Id rather work in a shop or something than work as telesales if theyre only paying minimum wage. Sounds like its cold calling, so basically spending all day having the phone slammed down in your face.
At least if you worked in a supermarket youd get a discount on your food shopping too.0 -
It is good to see even the commenters on the Daily Mail agree that the job is not all thatThe World come on.....0

The firm was named in local press as concerning the police about the method of it calls to elderly residents, the police also stated that those working there could be at risk of prosecution.
Would you work there ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Theres a lot more to this than being printed. Did he advertise in the job centre or with a tiny, two line ad in a free paper?
Ms Jadean Steele has been out of school for two years, unemployed but managed to get qualified as a beauty therapist at 18, so in other words shes been in education not unemployed.
Do they boot people who dont sell anything / hit sales targets? The reality is far from earning £400 a week in cold calling jobs.0 -
