10 Year Guarantee on Miele Washing Machines?

Miele are currently selling their W5740 washing machine with a 10 year guarantee. I've seen that this is being advertised as only available until 30/09/2011.

Does anyone know if they regularly run these promotions and what the guarantee will return to after 30/09.

LG do a 10yr guarantee on their direct drive washing machines but it only covers the motor of 10yrs the rest is 2yrs.

Interested to see the details of the warranty as the devil is always in the detail...

I bought a Miele about 8 years ago with a 10 yr parts and labour guarantee. The machine cost me £1000. I have the engineer out once to replace the motor. That job alone would have cost me £800.
Don't know what happens when the guarantee runs out. I'm hoping it can be extended.

Miele give as standard the usual manufacturer's 2 year guarantee but in addition all Miele washing machines come with a lifetime guarantee against corrosion and the door hinge failing. All machines have a 10 year guarantee on the suspension system which includes the springs, shock absorbers, drum, tub and cast iron cradle. Then depending on model you would also get a lifetime guarantee against flooding and a 10 year guarantee on the brushless professional DC motor.

Yellowbear - Yes Miele do give excellent cover but I am very surprised the motor needed changing, these are normally bomb proof and and in virtually all cases just need the brushes changing!

The engineer did say I was pretty unlucky! There are 6 of us and the machine is usually on once a day, sometimes twice.
I've certainly had my moneys worth!
