Hello, novice at this but looking to buy a new digital camera, mine doesn't take good pictures at night and often blurs them, but it is old and has been dropped a lot....
Had a look around forums and websites, seems optical zoom is something to look out for....use my camera a lot for nights out, as well as taking pretty pictures and as a "semi hobby" - not one that I'd boast about to anyone!
Saw these, and was wondering what people though and if there were other suggestions. Budget ~£130 mark, ideally £100 but can also stretch a bit if something magical comes up over it.
Fujifilm Finepix T200
Olympus VR-320
Samsung WB650
Thanks
Laura

I got the samsung wb600 last year and am very happy with it,the zoom is good and the pictures are very clear.
I have used the video quite a lot and the results are really good e.g taking videos of my grandchildren on motocross bikes, no stutter or going out of focus.
I mainly set it to auto and it does the rest!0 -
If you are talking about taking photos at night without flash you will not get good results with any camera unless the subject is still and you are using a tripod.0

At that price range they'll be quite basic and I doubt you'll get decent shots at night. I spent £200 on a Canon compact for my nights out where I didn't want to carry my DSLR and frankly the quality sucks!0
