Tablecloths!?

Options
Hope everyone is enjoying the bank hol!

I am trying to find somewhere to hire 120" round tablecloths- cheap! Everywhere seems soo expensive! Has anyone got any recommendations? They just need to be White/ ivory and not great quality.

We did consider paper and brought one good quality piece, but it was still terrible, and could rip as soon as it got a few drops of water on it.

do they have to be round? Square cloths on round tables don't look terrible. (And then you can buy bedsheets - which are often cheaper than tablecloths!)

Not necessarily, but I have looked down that route. I found that the cheap bed sheets are not thick enough to really work, and the expensive ones are the same price as hiring actual tablecloths! I don't mind buying them if I can then sell them on, but still would like cheap. They are only tablecloths- why do they have to be so expensive!?!?

There is a local company to me (may be a bit out of your way) but they do promise to beat any like for like quote http://www.hire-chair-covers.co.uk/index.html

That is a little far out. We are actually only a few miles from the coast. But thanks, keep them coming!

Sorry I can't help but I'm in the same position only I need rectangular ones, the tables sit 2 down each side and are a bit wider than one chair wide at the ends. It's for our club in the evening, I'm also not fussed on mega quality but it's proving so hard to find somewhere to get them cheap. I was cosidering getting some of that thick embossed paper stuff but you're making me reconsider now
  • Have you got any friends/family who are handy with a sewing machine? We had the same problem wanting to cover 30 round tables and managed to buy a roll of white (with a nice shiny self-stripe) fabric off ebay for just under £100 which my mum then cut out into circles and stitched the edges - nothing fancy, just enough to stop them fraying. So worked out about £3 a tablecloth and I couldn't find anywhere to hire/buy cheaper than that. And I've been able to lend them out for an anniversary do and they're just about to do their 4th wedding this weekend! :T

We bought cheap ones that where thick cotton from argos in the sale. Seemed cheaper to buy then sell on (not got rond to that yet) They were oblong though. Have a look if you go oblong in the sale might be worth it.

Look on ebay someone might be selling a load of round ones to.
