Portable Radio Player?

Hi, I have an iPhone for listening to music but for travelling would like to get a player on which I can listen to the radio please. I downloaded a radio app for the iPhone but it's not good when travelling so I think I will have to invest in another product.
I've spotted this http://www.amazon.co.uk/iRIVER-S100-8GB-INTERNAL-EXPANSION/dp/B004C12V64/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314623212&sr=8-1 but wondered if anyone had any recommendations please?

Just get a cheap nokia (nokia 1661 or 2323) - both of these have FM radio and are cheap to pick up for around £10.

If you are expecting non FM radio stations, you are looking at an internet enabled phone - not worth it. Just get a small pocket radio like this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lloytron-N704-AM-Pocket-Radio/dp/B000TJAKCK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1314627218&sr=1-1 £4.99

Depends on how sexy you want it there are a number of DAB/FM personal radios out there. PURE 1500/2500 from £60. There are other brands at a similar price too.

I have a Clarity Cube which I use walking the dogs which isn't to bad and a PURE Move which is a bit on the big side but is portable too.

There is also a cheap and cheerful DAB/FM at Tesco Direct under their Technicka name c. £30 - you would need to invest in rechargeable batteries though.

Thanks for your replies, appreciated. I really just want something light and portable to listen to Radio 1, Kiss FM, Capital FM etc when travelling on trains etc. Used to own an irriver and that was great for the radio but it's really old now. Will take a look at the products above thank you.

  • I would go down the mobile phones such as nokia but just to mention that there are FM receivers which attach to ipods around although I'm not sure how good they are.
