Videos green and blocky

Hey everyone.
I've been having a problem for a while where when watching videos online the videos are green and blocky.
However, it only happens on some videos. For instance, I can watch one video on Youtube that will be fine, then I'll watch another and it'll be green and blocky.
It seems to happen more on ITV Player though and BBC Iplayer seems to play perfectly fine.
I've tried to update my video card but apparently it's already up-to-date. I googled the problem but it wasn't really helpful which is why I thought I'd ask here.:o
My laptop specs are as follows:
Sony Vaio
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Intel Core i3 2.4ghz processor
4GB ram
Intel (R) HD Graphics
I've done spyware scans and virus scans which have all come back clear.
I use Firefox and have tried using Opera to access the videos which are green and blocky and they're green and blocky in Opera also.
I play Sims 3 alot on my laptop and that runs fine.
Can anyone give me any tips of other things to try or know what the problem might be?
I read that turning off hardware acceleration might fix it but I can't find that option in my settings.:o
Thank you in advance.:o

Check for updated drivers, or post the make and model of the motherboard if you do not know where to find them
Speccy will let you know what the motherboard details are

Searches on the Sony site for software either go for the fix it thing or here,
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/index.aspx
so maybe they will only give links to those with serial numbers
Their after sale number is 0844 8466 555 and the customer service number is 01256 355011 if you cannot find the video drivers online
