Celebrity Sofas - are they good value?

Hello.
Am looking at the Woburn Celebrity sofa, in leather, single motor three seater. It's about £1950.
Is that a good price? Is it what all stores sell it at?
And is it work the money?
It's British made which I am told will be "built to last".
Sherborne are good too, but don't make one to the length I need.
Saxon Leather are really good, but don't do sofa recliners.
So I think Celebrity is my last resort. Just wondering what thoughts people have on this particular brand.

Hi there, no experience of Celebrity sofas, but I do have a Saxon suite. Just wanted to mention that they offer a bespoke service. They make recliner chairs so it should be possible for them to produce a recliner sofa for you. If you email tham I am sure they will do their best to help you.0

Hi.
I've spoken with Saxon, and while they have the means to make reclining chairs, they do not have any intentions of making reclining sofas, as they feel they are too cumbersome to make. Even tho they get a lot of questions about this particular need!
For £160 they will do the bespoke service, which is great.
But since no reclining options, I cannot go with them.0 -
Wow, you would think in these diffcult times they would be bending over backwards to get orders.
Mind you, while my Saxon suite is good quality, I can`t wait to get rid of it as I find it extremely uncomfortable due to my being short......despite having emailed them to check it would be suitable before buying. It gives me a bad back.0 -
Mmmm this is why I would never buy a sofa without sitting on it first. I was told this a few times.
So because of your height, it's uncomfortable? Are the lumps and bumps in the sofa in the wrong places for you then?
That is a shame.
Do you mind me asking, which model did you get from Saxon?0 -

Do they do recliners, as I cannot see that in their listings.0

This is what I bought...

I have several things I hate about this sofa. The seat cushions are loose and slide forward and hang off the edge. I am sick sick sick of having to pull them back into postiton time after time ad infinitum. Despite regular plumping they are also slightly out of shape. The arms are too high for me, not at all comfy for lying down, but what gives me a bad back is the fact that the seat is too deep for me, meaning that my legs hang over the edge and my feet don`t touch the floor. This puts a strain on the small of my back. I never had any back problems before buying this sofa.
Unfortunately for me, the sofa is so well made that it is going to last me for yearsTo be honest if it fell apart I would be quite happy as I would have the excuse to go out and buy something more suitable.

Did you sit on it, and try it, before you bought it?0
